Terms & Conditions:

• The quotations in two separate covers (Technical bid & Commercial bid) should reach the above address on before 25.03.2011 at 3.00 p.m. The offers will not be considered if received after the bid closing date and time.

  The Technical bid (First Bid) should contain the following details along with documentary proof.

  1. Name & Address of the Office / Printing Press & Designing Centre.
  2. Registration details under companies Act, Industrial Act, Local & Central Sales Tax Act, Municipal Law, Labour Act, I.T. Act, PAN, TIN No., etc. (with documentary proof)
  3. Total experience in the Printing field (with documentary proof)
  4. Facilities available: 4 or 5 color machines, brand & year of manufacturing, binding facilities, etc.
  5. Turn over for the past 3 years.
  6. Details of the similar work already executed. (with samples)
  7. Certificate of commendation received.
  8. Awards, national & international quality accreditation certification.

• In the commercial bid, the quoted price should be inclusive of all taxes, packing, forwarding, transit etc, and supply shall be made at our premises.
• The firm should have expertise in printing of similar Coffee Table Books or equivalent photos / pictures based publications with atleast for 3 institutions/organizations and submit the copies with the tender document as samples.
• The Tender must be accompanied by EMD amount of Rs.10,000/-, by means of a Demand Draft, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, payable at Puducherry separately. The amount is refundable. The Small Scale units are exempted from payment of EMD provided they enclose proof of their exemption Certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Delivery is to be made within 15 days from the date of receipt of work order.
• You are requested to verify the sample available with purchase section before quoting the rate on all working days.
• The finished goods should be strictly as per the specification.  In case of any deviation, the University has the right to reject the goods.
• This tender is valid for one time printing.
• The soft copy of the design will be provided by the University. The printer should also co-ordinate with the designer firm.
• The University has the right to accept or reject any quotation partly or fully without assigning any reason thereof.
• Timely supply of the ordered items is the essence of the contract. In case of failure to supply within the time specified in the Purchase order, a penalty/LD of 0.5% of the total value per week or a part thereof shall be levied subject to a maximum of 7.5% in respect of items which are not supplied. The decision of Pondicherry University shall be final in this regard.
