TENDER NOTICE

The Registrar, Pondicherry University, invites Tenders in sealed covers for Supply of MAJOR EQUIPMENTS under DST FIST Level –II “ 1.CCD CAMERA and 2.LASER POWER METER AND SENSOR. Tender schedule for the items containing full details along with terms and conditions can be had from the Information Facilitation Counter, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry-605 014. EMD for the items of 2.5% or Rs.50,000/- of the total cost by means of a Demand Draft payable at Pondicherry in favour of the Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry-605 014. The detail specifications of each equipment and the schedule can also be downloaded from the website and the DD as said above for tender form fees for each equipment should be included. The last date for submission of tenders is: 13.10.2011  Noon and will be opened on  the same day at 3.00 P.M.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS: Specification of Instruments for FIST Level II 2011-2012

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I. General Information:

a) Last date and time of receipt of the Tenders: October 13, 2011 2.00 PM

b) Date & Time of opening of the Tender : October 13, 2011, 3.00 PM

c) Tender Document fee Rs. 250/-

d) EMD rates: 2.5% of the quoted price or Rs.50,000/-

e)   Two bid systems will be to be strictly followed, that is one for technical bid and another for commercial bid. They have to be submitted in two separate sealed covers.

f)   Quoting merely the lowest price does not confer any right to any bidder for award of supply order. The University’s Purchase Committee, reserves the right to select the quotation of any bid under the grounds of specification compliance, technologically, advanced quality, proven performance track record, brand reputation, service backup support & training, offer of additional / special features, Compatibility with the existing System, etc.

g)  The Tender Document Fee and EMD should be submitted in a separate cover super-scribing Bank Demand Draft and should be enclosed with the technical bid.

h)  The Photo Copies of the Bank Instruments on payment of EMD should be attached with each bidding cover.

i)  The tender / quotation must be submitted along with the stipulated tender document fee and EMD in the sealed cover, super-scribing “Bid for Cluster – Department of Physics”. The name and address of the bidder should also be mentioned at the “From address” space.

j)   The tenders should be addressed and posted to the following address by speed, registered post or by courier.

k) Tenders will not be accepted through fax / e-mail.

II. Common Conditions (Import or Indigenous)

1. Purchase of Tender Document:
   The Tender document can be downloaded from the University website www.pondiuni.edu.in [2] or procured from the Pondicherry University on payment of fee as specified above, by means of a D.D, drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, payable at Puducherry. The downloaded application should be accompanied with the tender document fee, in the form of a Demand Draft.

2. Price Schedule
   The rates should be quoted for a single unit and also for the total quantity required by the University. The price should include the Delivery, installation, training charges, etc. at the respective Department, Pondicherry University. The prices quoted shall remain firm until the product is supplied to the respective Department, Pondicherry University.

3. Quoting the Core price & Tax, Duties, Discount etc.
   The taxes / duties / discounts, if applicable, are to be explicitly and separately shown in the bid
