1. The University offers transport facilities (buses and vans), separatley for the faculty, staff and free for students to commute from Puducherry town and its outskirts such as Ariyankuppam and Villianur to the main campus for attending classes/work.
2. For students 8 buses are operated on various routes and for staff 5 buses are operated in various routes.
3. Exclusive buses are operated for Ladies students on certain routes depending upon the strength.

5. Green Transport : For incampus transport, 4 battery operated vehicles are plied from 6.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. on all days and for movement of students from Departments to mess and other places within the campus, buses are plied in addition to battery operated vehicles. For the mobility of the faculty, staff, research scholars and students inside the campus, free circular bus trips are run at the interval of every half-an-hour during all working days.
6. Free Bicycles : Free bicycles are provided within the campus for the convenience of users.
7. A full fledged 24 hours air conditioned ambulance is operated for the students and staff and is available in the University Health Centre (Phone No. 2254269)
8. In addition to the transport facilities provided for the Faculty / Staff / Students. University buses and vans are operated for school trips for the transport of KV School children.
9. Free transport is provided for the children of the University staff coming from the quarters and nearby villages to various schools in the town.
10.An emergency vehicle is made available at the University Guest House throughout the night.
11. University approved taxi operators as detailed below , are appointed for providing vehicles for staff at approved rates for various outstation official trips.
