Fully free education for all the differently abled students pursuing their higher education in the University including food & accommodation
Majority of the buildings in the University campus have been made completely accessible for the differently abled
Louis braille Centre in the library annexure building caters the needs of visually challenged students cum scholars, round the clock and throughout the year including weekends, winter and summer holidays in the conducive environment
This Centre provides reading cum scribe services, counseling and capacity building
Regular Circulation of news and magazines through e-mail
The text books of following discipline are available as scanned copies in accessible format: Tamil, English, Sociology, International relations, Management, Social work, Inclusive policy in addition to this materials for competitive exams are available in this unit.
For the benefit of the visually challenged students, all the reading materials are being converted into accessible format with reference to their request.
At present this unit has 10 computers. All computers in the unit are equipped with voice enabled software such as NVDA, Jaws, Kurzweil and Readit air .Other Facilities like Brailler ,Braille Display, Braille Printer and other tactile educational devices and accessible applications/tools are also available.
